Individual Psychotherapy for Adults - In-Person & Telehealth
Would you like to be witnessed and held as you courageously choose transformation?
Do you sense something holding you back from expressing your full self?
Are you longing to bring your full self into community?
Would you like to relate to your pain in a new way while cultivating wellness?
Are you yearning to integrate and nourish all the multifaceted parts of who you are?
Does your intuition tell you that even though it can be painful at times, therapy can be a fun, creative process?
Sandstone—the actual rock—is the living memory of the ocean. It is both the ocean floor of the past and the dry cliff stone of today. As soon as you touch it, it will never be the same, thus becoming the future held in your very hands. Like Sandstone, we are incredible outcrops of geological and intergenerational living histories. We have the ability to be nourished by the process of shedding the unneeded debris or excess sand of the past, and in doing so we uncover an amazingly strong core that’s been there all along, weathered many seasons, and is beautifully unique. Once holding and understanding the precious power of who you are and your gifts, the future can creatively unfurl and manifest itself with greater ease.
Traced back to its Ancient Greek roots, the word “psychotherapy” translates to the “healing of the soul, spirit, or breath,” and in its modern incarnation, “treatment of the mind (psyche).” This language is important because you likely have a sense that your mental and emotional health is intricately related to the visible aspects of you, such as your body, as well as the invisible aspects of you, such as your spirit, energy, or essence. So while psychotherapy is mental health care, it is highly personalized and can incorporate body movement, breath, spirituality, and attention to awareness itself as part of holistic support.

Here’s a sneak peek at how I work...
Things you might expect in therapy with me include:
You will be actively involved in helping shape what therapy looks and feels like for you
We get up and moving — literally
I may interrupt verbalizing to include your body’s voice in the present moment
Interventions frequently include imagery, metaphor, and body awareness
Therapy work may involve experimenting with movement, voice tone, sensory engagement, and relating to space/nature
We may utilize props, art supplies, music, and creative imagination
We will openly engage with how society, personal and collective history, culture, and identity intersects with embodiment, clinical issues, our therapeutic relationship, and your strengths
We will celebrate your triumphs together and bring laughter and joy into the process of recovery, healing, and change
Do you think I might be a good fit for you?
